DIYlaunch was founded in 2004 as a way for homeowners to put up their own website quickly.
In the beginning, DIYlaunch offered a commonly available website builder to it's clients, just like most other generic "website hosting" companies. But there are many drawbacks to using one of the "off-the-shelf" solutions out there: Users have to know HTML and how to use Photoshop to resize pictures before putting them on the site. It can be a very frustrating experience.
The DIYlaunch website builder was designed to do only one thing: build real estate websites. That's it. No "ecommerce" , no "blogs", just simple, attractive sites that show off your home.
Because it was developed in-house, we added the features we knew users would find helpful, like automatic layout and formatting, so you don't have to arrange things on your site. There's also an automatic picture resizer so you can upload pictures straight from your camera to your site without having to use Photoshop to resize and compress them. And neat details like an automatic map link that will link your home's location to Google Maps.
